QUESTION 4- how did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
For this question we will use a second prezi to demonstrate how we used new media technologies in the construction and research planning and evaluation stages.
The points we will cover is how we have the ability to create our whole media teaser trailer using one machine.
Also how different programs and software have enabled us to do this to a high standard.
Below are some of the programs and software used in the creation of Childhood. We will discuss in more depth when answering the question how these helped us to complete our project.
-Prezi, youtube, blogger, imovie, google, garage band, itype, quicktime, photoshop, iphoto, itunes.

QUESTION 3- What have you learned from your audience feedback?
We appreciate hugely that our audience of external AS students have taken time out of their own day to watch, study and evaluate our teaser trailer A2 Media production. We know that they are an extremely useful, valid source of criticism and praise coming from a very different perspective of not knowing anything what-so-ever about our film. We asked our external source of audience to identify our genre, target audience of 'Childhood' and asked for their honest opinions on what they liked about our teaser trailer and what they disliked and/or could have been improved.
To add to answering this question to its full extent, you will read our results from our audience feedback and our discussion about them in a video interview we will soon create where, I repeat, we will discuss the feed back we received from questionnaires we have created and also including interviews with have held with member of the public from different ages groups.

QUESTION 2- How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
We are planning to create a Prezi to answer this question. Using all different types of media to explain how effective the combination of our main products and ancillary texts.
Some points we will cover:
-How you can clearly tell all 3 of our outcomes, the poster, magazine cover and teaser trailer all are promoting the same film 'Chilhood'.
-Our main link between the 3 is our main character which appears in all 3 outcomes. With simiar themes such a the poster incorporating props and themes from the trailer for example, a clock, television etc.
-Our genre is also consistently clear, for example some magazines when promoting the film display the actor them selves instead of the character they played on the cover. Where as on our magazine cover we displayed our actor in character still portraying the genre of horror.
-We will also comment on the manipulation of the title 'Childhood' on our 3 different outcomes. We did change it on all 3 to fit with the median we were working with at that particular time. For example using the title in our trailer and developing this for the poster by adding images into the text. Then for the magazine to get it the fit with the theme we completely recreated the title, we used a simliar theme for the phone using similar colours and layout. But still was easily linked to the trailer and poster.

QUESTION 1- In what ways does your media products use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
To answer the question above, we have planned to create a montage of the videos and themes that have influenced our teaser trailer. Including such films as 'The Ring', 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' and many more. We will construct a voice over explaining how these trailers and themes have influenced the making of our trailer. Also how our trailer differs from them and in what ways.
The Ring was one of our main influences. We used there concept of the main character being a young and disturbed child. We knew that having a young main character in a horror film would be a classic way of scaring the viewers as many horrors include young children and are associated with them.
When watching The Ring we decided to brain storm some of the themes involved in the film and see if we could some how incorporate these aspects in our trailer. Some themes we were particularly interested in using were the surveillance's scenes and the use of the television as a visual prop through the film.
Insidious and Hide and Seek were too films we used as influences for the sound aspects of our trailer. We liked the sound effects Incorporated in Insidious because it was so sudden and unexpected and we wanted this in our trailer between some of the different clips. We got the idea of using a voice over from Hide and Seek. We believed having a voice over some of the clips added a creepy effect which was what we were looking for.
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo inspired us with it quick, sharp short takes. There were enough for you to get a slight idea of what was going on but also at the same time not giving away to much of the storyline. It left you as a viewer slightly confused but also intrigued to know what was happening.

For our final magazine cover we came to the conclusion that using a screen grab from our trailer would not be good enough quality to be enlarged as it would become pixalated and fuzzy. So we decided to use a camera to take a series of images of Katie in character with make up, hair and costume done. We used a high resolution camera to create shots that would be enlarged and still of a good quality.
We wanted her to still be in character rather than have her as her self shown as an actor on the cover as many magazines do. We felt this would link the magazine cover to to the poster and trailer keeping the main character and sense of genre clear.
Taking a range of images gave up the ability to experiment with what images would fit into our magazine layout best. This is why we took a variety of angles, front on and side images. Also ones from different angles.
